The Reebok Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game
We play baseball to benefit two great causes: The Mike Modano Foundation and the Little Heroes Foundation.
Two baseball teams, each made up of 10 Celebrity Players and 10 amateurs. Hard-charging, umpires umping, trash-talking, uniform-wearing, managers managing, base-stealing, home run hitting, nine inning, authentic BASEBALL. This ain't no sissy softball game.
The 2009 Game
The Reebok 2009 Heroes Celebrity Baseball Game will be Saturday, June 13, at Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco.
Among the celebrities scheduled to participate are current and former pro athletes Mike Modano, Michael Irvin, DeMarcus Ware, Jason Witten, Marty Turco, Brenden Morrow, Jay Ratliff, Bradie James, Martellus Bennett, Tim Brown, Warren Sapp and Scottie Pippen; Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, singer/TV personality Joey Fatone and famed wrestler Blue Demon Jr.
Festivities include the Baylor Medical Center at Frisco Celebrity Home Run Derby at 4 p.m. and the Celebrity Game at 6 p.m. There's a fabulous fireworks display after the ballgame, too!
